The faculty of finance and banking of RANEPA joined an initiative of the UN global contract
The faculty off inance and banking of RANEPA joined Principles for Responsible Management Education initiative of the UNglobal contract. Supporting PRME, the faculty accepts obligationsof creation of the mission, values, teaching and research activity, partnership and communications according to the principles of social responsibility and sustainable development in the global business environment.
The principles of PRME were developed in 2007 by 60 deans, presidents of universities and representatives of the leading business schools of the world. Currently PRME participants are more than 500 educational institutions from more than 80 countries of the world.
The principles of social responsibility and sustainable development in the faculty implemented in the following aspects:
- The ethical code development and introduction is completed;
- Implementation of the course "Professional Values and Ethics of Accountants and Auditors”in the bachelor programscurriculum;
- Implementation of the courses "Ethics of Business Communication", "Business, power and society: sociology and philosophy of management" in the master programs curriculum
- Implementation of the course"Business, power and society: philosophy of management", "Ethics of business and counteraction of corruption and to fraud", "Image, ethics of the office relations and etiquette"in the curriculum of the MBA program Banks
- implementation of the course "Mediation Bases" with assistance of Cardinal Paul Poupard Foundation. The course is aimed at students of master degree and of MBA students;
- membership of Russian-Italian committee on ethical business;
- teachers of faculty were trained according to the "Activities of the EU Council of Human Rights" and "The International Cooperation in the Sphere of Counteraction of Corruption" programs;
- teachers, graduate students and research associates conducted surveys in the fields of shadow banking, manipulations and falsification of financial statements, development of a deposit insurance system and its role in preservation of social stability;
- teachers and research associates published monographs and articles devoted to ecological management, social business, responsible financing, insurance as a tool of financial and social stability.
Results of PRME implementation are to be covered in the regular reports available on both faculty and PRME web sites.
