Russian business is interested in the principles of responsible investment: the compliance of companies with the needs of investors is determined by whether they care about society, the environment and how well the management is built. To test these aspects, ESG ratings (from the English Environmental, Social and Governance) have been developed. The measured factors not only favorably affect the image of companies, but also increase the market value.
At the Vedomosti conference, leading industry experts discussed the use of ESG indices, how they can be used to fairly assess the contribution of business to the development of society and the environment, and how Russian sustainable development indices strengthen the brand and reputation of Russian companies.
