First specialistsin mediation graduated from RANEPA
"Basics of Mediation" course was made and conducted within the MBA program "Banks" of the Department of Finance and Banking (DFB) of RANEPA with the assistance of the Federal Mediation Institute. In this course students made aware of the procedures of mediation and mediative approach, rights, powers and responsibilities of mediators. Practical cases to resolve disputes in the financial sector were studied - within the possibilities and limits of the use of mediation in the activities of the Financial Ombudsman, accountants, auditors and tax consultants.
The program of this course has been prepared in the Presidential Academy in accordance with the recommendations of Cardinal Paul Poupard on the harmonization of social relations in conflict resolution in extrajudicial (alternative) ways.
At the upcoming V Anniversary International Symposium on ethical entrepreneurship which will be held in RANEPA this year, the President of cardinal Paul Poupard Fund, Giuseppe Musumeci will award the authors of the best cases on resolving the problematical situations with the tools of mediation. The decision will be made by the competitive commission consisting of:

- Head of UBI Bank rep office, Ferdinando Pelatstso,
- President of the Russian-Italian coordinating council of entrepreneurship ethics, vice-president of Alfa Bank G.Y. Fomina,
- Dean of the Department of Finance and Banking (DFB) of RANEPA, S.S. Nasibyan,
- scientific supervisor of the FSBI "Federal institute of mediation", S.A. Shamlikashvili.
Earlier, at the IV Russian-Italian Symposium "The role of education in creating a society based on the ethics of business" (November 2013) in RANEPA cardinal Paul Poupard named nine valuable components of the educational process, which play an important role in the education of youth. For a lot of attention being paid to the combination of entrepreneurship and ethics through education in the Academy, rector of RANEPA Vladimir Mau was awarded with the Medal of the Vatican.
DFB of RANEPA with the support of the Russian-Italian coordinating council of "Business ethics" under the patronage of the Russian Orthodox Church and cardinal Paul Poupard Fund does work in the direction of educating specialists who can implement high moral standards and norms in business. The activities of the department in this direction conforms with the plans to join the initiative of the UN - PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education). PRME initiative is actively supported by internationally recognized accreditation associations AACSB, EFMD, AMBA.
